About the trip
Now, Rangat has quite some things to do and its the heart of the Middle Andaman Islands. This destination lies in the middle of North and South Andaman Islands. Most people here are from the bengal origin and the local market here is a little different from that of Port Blair. Well, now let us jump to this trip. If you are planning for a stay in Rangat then this trip will best suit you. Also, if you are availing the trip from Port Blair to Diglipur Island along with a visit to Ross and Smith island then trip can still be very good. The trip to Diglipur Island is for 2 Days and we can take a pit stop to experience the attractions in Rangat as well.
Trip Overview :
This trip begins at Rangata and we first visit the Dhanni Nalah Mangrove Walkway. This walk way is for around 720 metre, which was created by clearing creeks and Mangrove trees. This was the initiative of an officer who was placed in Rangat earlier. Now, the walkway here is much better than that experienced during the walk in Baratang Island.
Walk your way through the mangrove forest and experience the unique beauty of Rangat. Post completion of this trip we move to Ambkunj beach. This is a basic beach maintained by the Government of Andaman Islands. Spend around 30 Minutes to 1 Hour here before returning back.
A personal vehicle with a chauffer cum guide will be appointed during the trip.
